Loving Arms Child Care Center

Testimonials

From the mother of one of the students:

I am writing you this letter because one of my 2010 New Year's Resolutions is to write a personal thank you to each person how has positively impacted my life in 2009, one of the toughest years of my life.

In this specific letter, I am writing to all of the Loving Arms staff that have cared for my son, Peyton since October 17, 2009.  This center has blessed our family on so many levels. I am so grateful to all of you that spend so much time for caring, teaching, loving, mentoring, and helping my son grow and learn in such a positive healthy environment.

Peyton has learned so much and gained so many positive social skills and fundamentals since he began with Loving Arms. To Erica and Kristin, you both have excellent communication with me and my husband regarding my son, and truly enjoy the tough jobs that you have. I am lucky that my son has such great young vibrant, smart beautiful teachers. To Deb, what can I say, you have been so supportive, caring and given my great customer service and are a GREAT director. To the rest of the staff I didn't specifically mention, you all work great as a team- and make the center work as a team. THANK YOU!

These types of relationships are so hard to find in today's society. Customer service, trust and guidance is such a rare thing anymore- and I guess I wanted to personally thank you for all that you did for me/my family/Peyton in 2009! Gold stars for you!!! I wish you all the best in life and your careers!

Ashley - mom of Peyton

From the mother of one of the students:

We switched to Loving Arms after a bad experience with another center. Loving Arms has been everything we hoped it would be and more.

They go on several field trips a year. They concentrate on actually teaching the children something during the day. In the 2.5 months that my daughter has attended, she has already learned by sight many of the letters of the alphabet and is beginning to learn to spell her name. They work on verbal skills with the kids.

The teachers are all absolutely wonderful. They are very into communication. The daily sheets tell us what the kids learned that day. There are usually posters hanging up with cute things the kids have said during the day. (For example, spiders was the weekly theme a few weeks ago. The poster said "What do you like about spiders?" My daughter said they eat mosquitoes!)

I know more about what goes on in my daughters day than I ever did at the previous facility. I really appreciate all the communication efforts!

The kids do some amazing art projects and the teachers go all out to teach the kids. One week the theme was apples. The read apple books, talked about what you make with apples, "dissected" an apple in class so the kids can learn about all the apple parts...the list goes on. Every week there is a new theme and the teachers go all out to teach the kids in whatever way they can the new theme.

From the mother of one of the students:

I have had two of my children go through the Pre-K program (Purple Room) at Loving Arms Child Care Center and could not be more pleased.  The curriculum is top-notch; the teachers provide consistent, loving care; the communication between parents/teachers/administrators is always beneficial and timely; and the special programs and field trips are always enriching.  The entire organization is one of the best-run facilities anywhere around!  My kiddos LOVE it there.  In fact, I am so happy with the center I plan on continuing my children into the new Kindergarten!!! Elizabeth, who is currently in the Purple Room, is so excited about her "new school" that she has seen built from the ground up.  She can't wait to get promoted to the "Yellow Room" with all her friends.  LACCC rocks!!!!!

From the mother of one of the students:

I enrolled my oldest daughter at Loving Arms when she was just shy of turning four.  She had been in home day-cares where she hadn't been challenged to learn.  It wasn't long before I was wishing I had found Loving Arms sooner.  Now Maddy is in the 2nd grade and still at the head of the class.  I know her time at Loving Arms had a lot to do with how prepared she was for school.  She still loves going with me to drop off her sister so she can visit Mrs. Deb and Mrs. Kathy.
My youngest daughter has been at Loving Arms since she was 18 months, and she loves it.  She loves all the teachers and says she like it in the Purple room because "it's fun".  She's now almost four, and she can count by tens up to 100, and loves writing her letters - she always asking me to write things down so she can copy them.  I'm amazed at how much she is learning, and she still has naother year and a half before Kindergarten!  In addition to the education, I know she's in a great Christian atmosphere where she can learn how great God is and all about Jesus!  She told me that "God, Jesus and Satna Claus are my bestest buddies!" I know she is in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment.
I am grateful I found Loving Arms and that my girls have been able to experience what is offered there.  I feel comfortable talking with any of the staff, teachers, and administrators about anything that may be happening with Carly and know that any issues are resolved in a great manner.

Melinda Craft - mother of Carly

From the father of one of the students:

Thank you and all of your staff at Loving Arms for providing a truly special place for Maddison to spend her time away from mom and dad.  As most all parents will agree, finding a daycare for their child that not only provides a safe and comfortable environment but also fosters the academic and religious development of their child is not easy.  The “Doughnuts with Dad” day this past year still puts a smile on my face every time I think about it (I think I had more fun than some of the children).  Events like this and the overall positive attitude everyone there has will honestly be missed as Maddison moves on to Kindergarten.  Words really can’t express how thankful I am to have found such a wonderful place.  Thank you for everything and we will be back to visit.

Sincerely,   Joe Patry

From the parents of two students:

My daughter started at Loving Arms 1 ½ years ago. From the moment we walked in the door, my husband and I knew we found the right daycare for our child. Everyone was so nice and friendly, and all the kids seemed happy to be in the environment they were surrounded in. Knowing you had to have a security code in order to enter the daycare was a huge selling point for me.

My daughter started in the Green Room with Miss Amber and from day one Caleigh fell in love with her. After Caleigh's first week, she knew all of these sign language signs and was using them at home. I had asked the teacher what they mean. Not only did she tell me what they meant, but printed me a copy of all the signs so I could take them home if ever I questioned what Caleigh was trying to communicate to me. At that time Caleigh wasn't really saying many words yet. So you better believe that came in handy. It seemed as if everyday she came home learning something new and her talking didn't come much after her starting at Loving Arms. Just how much they taught her and what she learned at such a young age astounds me. All she wanted to do when she got home was read a book, that's all we ever did. Every night I ask Caleigh, "What did you learn today?" and never have I heard the word "Nothing." She always tells me about her day, the friends she played with, and what her Bible lesson was about. And at bedtime she always wants to pray.

In September of 2007 my son Caleb started there. And I really can't explain how long overdue that was. My son has had a lot of health problems and since he started Loving Arms has been hospitalized 3 or 4 times. Every one of the teachers including Deb (the director) made it a point to call and even make hospital trips just to see how he was doing. Anytime I would call and give an update they would always ask if they could bring my husband and I or Caleb anything. They brought up stuffed animals every time they came to visit. And even my husband and I received a gift. Other parents in the classroom even got involved asking how things were going and were genuinely concerned. And as I sit here and cry my tears of joy, it is truly a great feeling knowing my children are in such good hands. Thank you Loving Arms Staff and parents for all you have done for our family. We will be forever grateful.

God Bless,
Linda and Payton Hoshaw

From the mom of a kindergartner:

It took us almost half her life to finally get Crystal to a really good child care program. She has really enjoyed the last couple of years and Paul and I loved the small program there.

I know the challenges of running a quality child care program and you have handled things there wonderfully.

From the mom of a toddler:

I could not ask for anything more in a place for Brady! I really do feel like Loving Arms is the best kept secret in Wichita. I toured all of the so called “best” day care facilities in Wichita. In my stomach and heart none of them felt right to me for Brady. One day I found their ad in the phone book and spoke with Deb. I fell in love with her, she is so wonderful.

I had a lot of high expectations for a place because my mom babysat for us for the first year. I never thought I could trust anyone with my child besides me or my mom, okay and maybe my husband.

But I love the smallness to their staff; they each love the children so much. Their open door philosophy is so great, my mom still goes everyday to help with nap time. They take pictures of Brady and send them to me regularly. His self esteem has just blossomed there.

They have trained all of their staff to communicate with their kids in signs, and have provided me the same training. It is so wonderful seeing Brady sign; I don’t think anything gets better then that. I also love the Christian aspect of their teaching.

I honestly can’t think of one bad thing to say about it. We couldn’t be happier.

In response to our Muffins with Mom breakfast:

Thank you all for a beautiful Muffins with Moms this morning. I really enjoyed getting to have breakfast with Paige and visit with other Moms. The muffins and fruit were delicious. I appreciate all of your hardwork to put this together. And I loved the flower pot picture that Paige made in her class for me.

Thanks for thinking of us Moms this weekend! Thank you for making such a safe and caring environment for Paige, we feel very fortunate to have found you all!
